Beatrice E. (Keown) Bulington

May 27, 1932 — February 9, 2022

On May 27, 1932 the world welcomed Beatrice E. “Beasby” Keown, along with her twin sister Betty, in the small town of Sheldon, Illinois to Hazel Fariss and Thurman Keown.

She grew up in Goodland, Indiana, graduated from Goodland High and later joined the U.S. Army. She met and married Major Morgan, had four children: Gloria “Gordy”, Randy, Debbie and Mike. They later divorced.

“Beasby” then met the love of her life, Dean Bulington and they were married on Sept. 15th, 1973. Together they had a son, David Dean Bulington.

Bea enjoyed being a mom and a homemaker. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, a life member of the VFW – Women’s Auxiliary and also a past member of the Eagles.

She was very active until diabetes took away her capability to walk. However, her hands created many beautiful crocheted items, some of which were donated to the Senior Citizens and Veterans.

She also enjoyed painting, coloring and didn’t find a crossword she couldn’t solve. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds and flower gardening. She LOVED country music and would never pass up an opportunity to talk to her family about their heritage.

“Beasby” and Dean enjoyed their morning chats over coffee, a special time they shared, discussing their family, and the world in general.

However; as it is in life, our LORD chose to wrap his arms around Bea and taker her home on Feb. 9, 2022.

There she joined her parents, her sister, Betty Hall and brother Norman Fariss, her son, David Dean Bulington, her daughter, Deborah Carter with Deb’s husband, Charles Carter Sr., and her great granddaughter, Rylie Morgan.

Her earthly survivors include her children: Gloria (Ed) Hofmeyer of Kentland, Randy (Denise) Morgan, Shane Michael Morgan, both of OCR, Alabama; her grandchildren: Jessica (Eric) Templeton, Gregory Carter, Joshua Carter, Courtney (Jake) Blackburn, Ryan Morgan (Marie Mearse), Morgan Edge, Stormy (William) Carter, Charles (Carla) Carter Jr, Christopher Bulington; step grandchildren: Travis Hofmeyer, Zac Hofmeyer, Casey Hofmeyer, Christina (Parry) Jones, Beth Hofmeyer, Charlene Hofmeyer, brother-in-law, Rick (Sandy) Bulington of Remington.

A private family service will be held at a later date at Davidson Funeral Home, with burial in Bedford Cemetery at Monon.

Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association
