Billy W. Hinton

Billy W. Hinton, 76, of Delphi, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette. Billy was born on November 23, 1948, in Scottsville, Kentucky, to the late Ollie and Evvie (Goodrum) Hinton.

On October 12, 1968 Billy married the love of his life Sherri Ann (Wilson) Hinton. They enjoyed nearly 58 years of a happy marriage together.  Sherri preceded him in death on June 26, 2023.

In his free time, Billy enjoyed watching all sports, and he loved to fish and do anything outdoors, and especially tend to his garden. His most cherished past time was spent with his loving family.

Surviving Billy include his sons; Josh Hinton, Kevin (Lorri) Hinton, a daughter; Sarah Hinton, grandchildren; Kale Hinton, Kase Hinton, Macey Wright, Jason Wright, Bailey West, Ivy West, and Caleb Hinton.

Billy was preceded in death by his wife; Sherri Hinton, a son; Billy Hinton, a daughter; Lisa Hinton, and brothers; Earl Hinton, Max Hinton, and Jim Hinton.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Shirey Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
