Caroline “Boo” (Weir) Rush, 80, of Delphi, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Caroline was born on August 30, 1944, to the late Leon and Edith (Huskey) Weir in Lafayette, Indiana.
Boo graduated from Delphi High School, after graduation she worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital Central in Lafayette, where she was the unit secretary on the third floor, and assisted with medical surgery and dialysis treatment. Boo was devoted to her profession and eventually retired after 43 years of service, where she cared for many people, and made many friends.
In her free time, Boo was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and a member of the Pittsburg Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed tending to her garden and flowers, spending time with her family, and she especially loved the Home Shopping Network.
Caroline loved her community and was known to walk the trails in Delphi and pick up trash and to leave it better than how she found it.
Surviving Boo include son; Joe (Diana) Rush, sister; Janet Walker, brothers; Leslie (Billie) Fuller, sister-in-law; Debra Fuller, 8 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.

A funeral service honoring the life of Caroline will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, at 1 pm, with Deacon Larry Fuller officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Morning Heights Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Caroline’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
