Idaville - Charles “Chuck” L. Anderson

Chuck Anderson, 70, of Idaville, passed away on Sept. 17, 2021 at IU Arnett Health in Lafayette. He was born on Feb. 20, 1951 in Lafayette. His parents are Dorothy (Barton) Marshall of Idaville and the late Charles Anderson. He attended Twin Lakes Schools and received his GED in 1986.

He married Cheryl E. Whiteman on August 2, 1969 in Idaville and she survives.

He retired from Monon Trailer which became Vanguard CIMC. He was director of Maintenance and an electrician.

He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, arrowhead hunting, and loved visiting with family and friends. He especially loved spending time with his granddaughters and taking them on mystery trips.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; sons: Greg Anderson (Trisha) of Portage, Jeff Anderson (Theresa) and Bret Anderson of Idaville; mother, Dorothy Marshall of Idaville; sister, Jacque Gooden of Chalmers; grandchildren: Hailey “Punkin” Anderson, Ashley “Skeeter” Anderson and step grandchildren, Brittany Davidson (Monti), Kayla McKinley (Jon) and 2 others and several step great grandchildren; 3 aunts and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Along with his father, Charles Anderson, he was preceded by his brothers-in-law, Harold Gooden and Fred Whiteman; paternal grandparents, James & Dollie Anderson; maternal grandparents, Leslie & Elizabeth Barton; his in-laws, Herb & Zelma Whiteman; and niece, Z. Deanne Schauer.

Visitation will be from 6-8:00 pm on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021 and 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm funeral service on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021 at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi. Burial will follow in Hughes Cemetery at Monticello.
