Donald E. Collins

Donald E. Collins, 66, of Delphi, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at his residence.  He was born in Lafayette to the late Colleen (Johnson) Forrest on Jan. 25, 1955. He attended Delphi Community High School. He retired from the 307 Corporation in Lafayette where he was a fork truck driver. He served in the US Army National Guard from 1977-1983. He was a member of the Delphi VFW. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with his family.  He married Marjorie West in Delphi on July 5, 1996 and she survives.  He is also survived by children: Jennifer Daake, Ronald Charles Horton, and Christina Shriver; Step-children: Stacey Flemming, Joy Summers, Stephanie McLeland and siblings: Carolyn Curnutt, John Slay, Bonnie Sims (Tony), Marilyn Eby (Terry) as well as several grandchildren. He was preceded by his mother, Colleen Forrest; a step daughter, Kathy Jewell Kinnaird and siblings: Ronnie Collins and Connie Crews.  A celebration of life service will be held at a later date with burial in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora.   Davidson Funeral Home is assisting the family with final arrangements.
