Donnalou (Reingardt) Davidson

Donnalou Davidson, 95, of Lafayette, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2023. Donnalou was born on October 13, 1927 to the late Fredrick and Vera (Timmons) Reingardt. She was a 1945 graduate of Idaville High School.

She married Merrill R. “Sharky” Davidson on Nov. 22, 1945. They were married over 75 years. He preceded her in death in June of 2021.

She was a homemaker and had worked as a switchboard operator for Idaville Telephone; and Bryan Manufacturing in Monticello.

Donnalou was a former member of the Monticello and Eastlawn United Methodist Churches as well as United Methodist Women.

She enjoyed crocheting and playing cards. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by daughter, Sue Foard (Gary) of Lafayette, son, Terry Davidson (Denise) of Delphi; grandchildren: Grant and Danielle Davidson, Amanda and Andy Stark, Andrea and Chris Stout; and great grandchildren: Griffin, Deacon, Miles, Elaina, Micah, and baby Stout on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

Donnalou was also preceded in death by her brother Dale Reingardt; sisters: Gleeta Killin and Letabelle Jenkins; and great grandson, Tyson Stark.

Visitation will be at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. on March 29, 2023. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bob Duke officiating. Private family graveside will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Monticello.
