Dorothy M. (Lybrook) Draper

Dorothy M. Draper, 92, who was an angel on Earth is now an angel in heaven, passed away on May 3, 2022 at Mulberry Health & Retirement. She was born to the late William and Cora (Ghere) Lybrook on Nov. 14, 1929 in Carroll County. She was a 1947 graduate of Delphi High School.

She was a retired manager of the Delphi Laundromat.

She married Don Eugene Draper at Delphi on August 7, 1948 and he preceded her on April 7, 2013.

She was a member of the Carroll County election board for 22 years.

She enjoyed watch the birds, embroidery, reading about current events. She enjoyed chocolate and diet soda.

She is survived by her daughters: Larine Jeanine Scowden (Larry) and Lisa Gail Draper Shay (Les) of Delphi; brother, Charles Lybrook (Rosemary) of Lafayette; sister, Linda Whitman of Arizona, granddaughter, Bethany Nichole Pearson Ice (Paul)  and great grandson, Kenneth Zane Lovvorn.

Dorothy was preceded by sisters: Rose Kirby, Hazel Lybrook, Becky Brooks and brothers, Harvey and Billy Lybrook and 2 nephews, Bill and Joe Kirby.

A private memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Delphi.

Memorial contributions in Dorothy’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Unit at Mulberry Health, Mulberry, Indiana.
