DELPHI - Elizabeth “Betty” L. Kremer

Betty Kremer, 92, passed away on May 31, 2022 at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette. Betty was born in Chalmers, Indiana on Nov. 27, 1929 to the late George and Esther (Vogel) Bossung. She was a 1947 graduate of Reynolds High School.

She married James R. Kremer on April 23, 1949 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Reynolds and he survives.

She was a homemaker and helped her husband on their farm. She also drove a school bus for the Delphi Community School Corporation before her retirement.

She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi, Carroll Council on Aging and held several offices in the diocese in the Catholic Women’s Group, St. Joseph’s Altar & Rosary Society and volunteered for Birthright.

Betty taught line dancing and enjoyed sewing, gardening, growing flowers, and artwork.

Along with her husband, James of West Lafayette, she is survived by her children: Karen O’Farrell (James) of The Villages in Florida, Linda Winger of Lafayette, Patricia Rector (Dean) of Marion, Iowa, Madonna Starkey (Mike) of Lafayette, Lori Richards (Steve) of Granger and Kevin Kremer (Bernadette) of Delphi; 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; brothers: Richard and Edward Bossung of Reynolds; sister: Marjorie Welsh (Bob) of Ft. Worth, TX.

She was preceded in death by brothers: William and Wendall Bossung and sisters: Patricia Bossung and Teresa Minnicus.

Visitation will be at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi from 4:00-6:00 PM on Sunday, June 5, 2022. (Kevin will not be able to attend the visitation due to health concerns) The Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 6, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Chris Miller officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Delphi.

Memorial Contributions in Betty’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Birthright or the donor’s favorite charity.
