Guy Allen Baker

Guy Baker, 69, of Rockfield, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Guy was born on October 3, 1954, in Kalamazoo Michigan to the late William Kenneth and Emily Dorthy (Fair) Baker. Guy married Kathy Baker and later the couple divorced but remained very close.

Guy obtained his GED and quickly began working. Guy had been employed at Alcoa where he dedicated over 10 years of service and he eventually retired.

In his free time, Guy had a passion for being creative. He loved gardening, taking his hot rod and other toys to car shows and airfields, and doing anything hands on related. He loved spending time with his dogs and being outdoors. Guy’s most cherished past time was spent with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Surviving Guy include his children; Macy Hill, Bunny (Sunandini) Love, Timothy (Lisa) Baker, brothers; Duane Baker, Bill Baker, sister; Sally Goodell, grandchildren; Sydney Hill, Lydia (Alex) Lewis, Maddie Lewis, and 7 great-grandchildren, and many friends.

Guy was preceded in death by his Wife; Kathy Baker.

A memorial service honoring the life of Guy will be held on Saturday August 31, 2024, at 2 pm, with Pastor Bill Harrison officiating, located at Davidson-Shirey Funeral Home, 121 North Union Street, Delphi. Friends may visit with the family from 12 noon until the time of the service. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
