Hudson “Red” Lee Pressler, 87, of Delphi, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Aster Place Assisted Living in Lafayette. Hudson was born on December 10, 1938, in Wabash, Indiana, to the late Ronald Hudson and Maxine (Copeland) Pressler Landis.

In 1960 he married Katherine J Ottinger of Delphi, who preceded him in death in 1999.

Red graduated from Burnettsville High School. Red later joined the United States Army where he proudly served for two years in the Armored Tank Division. Red later went on to apply his knowledge and skills as a welder and eventually the plant manager at Delphi Body Works in Delphi. Red retired after nearly 40 years of service.

Beloved by his family for his quit wit, intelligence, love for mechanics and fabrication, strong work ethic, and most of all his love for his kids, grandkids, and great- grandkids, Hudson carried a namesake that grew from their love and respect of him, naming children and grandchildren after him.

Red is survived by his loving children; Lynn (Cal) Pressler of Brownsburg, Hudson Pressler Jr., of Brownsburg, Melisa Coghill of Lafayette, grandchildren; Curtis Eugene Roberts II of Brownsburg, Ronald Hudson Roberts of Ithaca, New York, Whitley Paige Pressler of Delphi, Forrest Hudson Coghill of Stuttgart, Germany, Blake Hudson Pressler of Delphi, Katie (Sam) Coghill Scharer of Lafayette, great-grandchildren; Landon Joseph Roberts of Brownsburg, Aiden Bishop Wilder of Delphi, and Hudson A Pressler of Delphi.

Also surviving are siblings; Walt (Barbara) Landis of Lake Cicott, Gary Dean Landis of Logansport, Chuck (Linda) Landis of Burnettsville, Dan (Jan) Landis of Logansport, Randy (Patty) Landis of Logansport, Becky (Bill) Allen of Rochester.

Hudson was preceded in death by siblings; Patty Sue Landis Blackman, Mikey Jo Landis, dear friend and partner; Betty Lou Michaels.

A funeral service honoring the life of Hudson will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 1 pm, with Pastor Elmer Spence officiating, located at Shirey Funeral Home, 121 N Union St, Delphi. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 11 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Seceder Cemetery in Lockport.
