Janet Kay (Fuller) Walker, 78, of Delphi, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Delphi. Janet was born on August 17, 1946, in Lafayette, to the late Lloyd and Edith (Cobbs) Fuller-Huskey.
On November 30, 1962, Janet married the love of her life, Green “Dean” Walker, at Pittsburg Southern Baptist Church, where her father Rev. Lloyd Fuller married them. Dean preceded her in death on November 13, 2008.
Janet was the heart of her home and family, having raised 5 children in a happy and loving home. She dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband of 46 years, and her children. Having grown up on Marshall’s farm, she had a happy life and she credits her parents for giving her the ability to learn everything from them on how to raise her loving family.
In her early years Janet taught Sunday school in her family’s church for many years at Pittsburg Missionary Baptist Church. She attended service there every Sunday for as long as she was able to. She was a faithful believer in God and had unwavering faith. She was blessed to instill her beliefs in her children when they were growing up.
Janet worked as a Dietician at Extended Care in Delphi for several years and loved to cook for people and to enjoy a meal with them. In her free time, she enjoyed spending as much time as she could with family and especially cooking meals for them. Janet’s cooking, and loving personality will be missed by many.
Surviving Janet include her children; Wanda (David) Wilcox, Christina Walker, Rachel (Scott) Ruhlander, Regina (Kenneth) Scott, Roger (Mickey) Walker, brother; Les (Billie) Fuller, 13 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
