Michael “Mike” Lewis Turner, 70, of Delphi, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on Sunday, December 22, 2024. Mike was born on May 23, 1954, in Kokomo, to the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Michaels) Turner.
On November 25, 2011, Mike married Reta (Lewis) Turner, and she survives.
Mike grew up in New London and in Kokomo. Eventually Mike relocated to Delphi and began working for the Carroll County Highway Department and eventually retired after 23 years of service.
Mike was truly a people person and loved to serve. He loved to mow grass for people and to help them when they needed it. Mike was handy and could build almost anything. He enjoyed his old westerns, and rooting on the Miami Dolphins. Mike was a member of Delphi First Assembly of God in Delphi. His most cherished past time was spending time with his family, and his service for others.
Mike is survived by his wife; Reta (Lewis) Turner, daughters; Kimberly Norton, Kara Simpson, son; Chad turner, brother; John Turner, Sisters; Theressa Toy, Bonnie Fergason, Susie Perry, grandchildren; Kaitlynn Hayward, Jeremiah (Amanda) Johnston, Allie Morrison, Camryn Turner, Colten Turner, Madison Simpson, Chevy Everly, and Killian Butler.
Mike was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.
No public services will be held at this time. Davidson-Shirey Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
