Rita Sue (Stinebaugh) Little

Rita Sue (Stinebaugh) Little, 79, of Lafayette, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 9, 2026, at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette. Rita was born on January 26, 1947, in Lafayette, to the late Earl and Laura (Minniear) Stinebaugh.

On February 2, 1963, Rita married Robert Little. They were blessed with nearly 60 years of marriage. Robert preceded her in death on January 15, 2023.

Rita attended Battleground High School. Rita worked for East Tipp School in Lafayette as cook for several years. She later went on to work for Peters- Revington as a furniture inspector. Rita retired after 18 years of service.

In her free time, she enjoyed anything ceramics. She had a passion for tatting and sewing. She cherished her dogs and spending time with them, especially Patty and Penny. Her most cherished time spent was with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rita is survived by her children; Alice (Douglas) Pierce, Diana (Don) Alderman, Robert (Vicky) Little Jr., a brother; Robert Croussore, 8 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service honoring the life of Rita will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 1 pm, with Pastor Bob Duke officiating located at Shirey Funeral Home, 121 N Union St, Delphi. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 11 am. Burial will follow at Americus Cemetery, in Lafayette.
