Sherri Ann (Wilson) Hinton

Sherri Ann (Wilson) Hinton, 69, of Delphi, passed away peacefully at home at 2:08 a.m. on Monday June, 26, 2023. She was born to the late James and Kathryn (Rodgers) Wilson on July 1, 1953. On October 12, 1968, she married Billy Hinton, in Delphi, who survives.

Sherri attended Delphi High school, and had worked at Fairfield Manufacturing for nearly 30 years, she later went on to do various jobs around town.

In her free time Sherri enjoyed playing cards, socializing with friends, and she especially loved watching Survivor on TV. Her greatest passion was spending time with her children and grandchildren, and watching them play baseball.  She was a loving wife and mother who cared deeply for her family and for her friends.

Sherri is survived by her husband; Billy Hinton, children; Kevin (Lori) Hinton, Joshua Hinton, and Sarah Hinton, sister; Bonnie Humphrey, and grandchildren; Caleb Hinton, Jason Wright, Macy Wright, Bailey West, Ivy West, Kale Hinton, and Kase Hinton.

Sherri was preceded in death by an infant son, Billy Wayne Hinton, Jr; daughter, Lisa Marie Wright; and brother, Roger Wilson.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., on Friday June 30, 2023, at Davidson Funeral Home, 121 N. Union St, Delphi, IN, with pastor Dan Gottschalk officiating. Burial will follow at Pittsburg Memory Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made in Sherri’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
