Wayne L. Zook

Wayne L. Zook, 93, of Delphi, passed away on Sept. 11, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Delphi. Wayne was born on June 17, 1929 in Delphi to the late Hazel (Heffley) and Orton Orville Zook, Sr. He was a 1947 graduate of Delphi High School. He served in the US Army.

He married Janis Grassmyer at the Radnor United Methodist Church on Jan. 1, 1950. She preceded him in death on Nov. 4, 2020.

He retired after 20 years from Lox Equipment where he was a leadman and foreman. He and his wife had previously owned Flora Pizza King.

He was a member of the Radnor United Methodist Church.

Wayne enjoyed making stained glass artwork and windows; making porcelain dolls with his wife and building homes.

He is survived by children: Daniel A. Zook (Laura) of Henryville, Bethany Zink (Harold) of Delphi, Matthew W. Zook (partner: Darlene) of South Bend and Maria Lemen (Todd) of Carmel; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Max and Orton Jr.

Visitation will be at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi from noon until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022. Pastor Ed Selvidge officiating. Burial will follow in Zion-Citizens Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Radnor United Methodist Church.
